TESSELLATIONS
What is a tessellation?
Well, the best answers come from an Internet Search,
here's a good place to start

However, a quickie answer to the question would be that a tessellation is basically a tile or mosaic.  Some interlock without being rotated (Figure B), some have 90 degree rotational symmetry, some have 120 or 180 degree, and some have 60 degree symmetry (Figure C).  Anything less and you are running out of room.  More than one shape can tile together and sometimes they can lock together in unexpected ways...

SHARX TESSELLATION PUZZLE

     The Woods used for this rendition is a mish-mash of locally acquired hardwoods -                  .  The dimensions for each puzzle piece is approximately     " Long overall by      " Wide at the widest point by    " Thick.  Whether I will consider the piece as shown as "complete" remains to be seen, as well as whether or not it will have some kind of containing framework.

     The Wood used for this puzzle is Oak, in various shades I had laying around  The dimensions for each puzzle piece is approximately     " Long overall by      " Wide at the widest point, by    " Thick.  Whether I will consider the piece as shown as "complete" remains to be seen, as well as whether or not it will have some kind of containing framework.
