I am a structural
steel fabricator by trade, and have been for 25 years. When I
am not working and getting a real paycheck, I like to dabble in woodworking. I
do not do cabinetry or furniture, although I'd like to learn both.
What I do make are fretwork pieces up to about 16" by 16", puzzles,
tessellation puzzles, smaller boxes such as jewelry boxes, and some intarsia. I
also do hollow turning, such as goblets and bowls on a machinists lathe, using
machinists techniques. If you like smaller crafted wood pieces, this is a good site
to explore. I like to try new things, and this site is constantly
evolving.
